The Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks exceptional internists to provide patient-centered care for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in the outpatient setting. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence who are committed to growing the next generation of physicians through hands-on instruction of residents, fellows, and medical students. GIM prides itself on a team-based care model in which physicians and Advance Practice Providers (NP/PA) work together to provide empathetic and collaborative primary care. Successful candidates will demonstrate not only their comprehensive clinical knowledge, but their ability to build long-lasting, trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. We seek candidates who are equally compassionate and comprehensive in their care, and enthusiastic to teach this approach to groups of dedicated and eager learners. For appointments hired as Assistant, Associate, or full Professor (CHS): Duties may include clinical teaching of medical students and other learners, as well as administrative duties. Individuals may also be called upon to fill clinical needs at UW Health Urgent Care Centers.
