The position will be based in our corporate headquarters, near Madison, WI, but it will offer a hybrid work arrangement allowing the flexibility to work a few days a week from home. Purpose of Position Through effective inventory strategies, the successful Merchandise Planner: Drives sales and profitability Achieves inventory goals (open to buy, turn, fill and sell thru) Supports and executes global initiatives and merchandise strategies What You'll Love: Being a part of an innovation-driven organization that is growing fast, and taking care of business through catalog, web and retail stores. Working on a team that makes retail workwear for customers who are smart, straight-talking folks who do everything from pounding nails to shoeing horses and pitching bales. POKING AVERAGE IN THE EYE! What You'll Do: Develops pre-season bottom up product level forecasts Revises and maintains in-season product level forecasts at an offer level Analyzes and identifies selling trends, taking action to maximize selling potential and minimize risk to inventory objectives and profitability Partners with Merchants to effectively manage overstock inventory Develops pre-season inventory flow strategies to drive turn and manage open to buy, revising in-season Partners with Merchants to ensure inventory investments are fiscally responsible and support key merchandise strategies Develops and fosters strong vendor partnerships Places efficient buys that support company strategies and inventory efficiency goals Manages in-season product appearances based on inventory availability and needs Balances on hand and on order inventory across multiple distribution centers and retail stores Manages stock levels at a sku level throughout product life cycle Partners with Merchants to create a strong Sales and Buy Plan to meet or exceed company goals and objectives Effectively and professionally presents the seasonal sales and buy plan to senior leadership What We're Looking For:
