Key Responsibilities:
1. Safe Operation of Vehicle:
• Operate company trucks (including Class A or B vehicles) to transport goods, ensuring safety and adherence to traffic laws at all times.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the truck is in safe and operational condition.
• Maintain control of the vehicle while driving through congested areas, highways, and different weather conditions, particularly during rush hour traffic in Miami.
2. Route Planning & Navigation:
• Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes within the Miami metropolitan area and beyond.
• Use GPS and maps to ensure timely arrivals while avoiding traffic delays, road closures, and detours.
• Report any delays or issues encountered during routes to the dispatch team or supervisor.
3. Loading and Unloading:
• Safely load and unload goods using appropriate tools and techniques (hand carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).
• Ensure proper securement of cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit.
• Assist warehouse staff or customers in loading/unloading as needed, ensuring goods are handled with care.
4. Delivery and Customer Service:
• Deliver goods in a timely and professional manner while maintaining courteous communication with clients.
• Provide high levels of customer service, addressing any issues or concerns from customers during the delivery process.
• Collect payment or necessary documents upon delivery when applicable.
