The Tennessee State Museum is seeking an education outreach coordinator to help achieve the museum's mission to serve the state with quality educational opportunities for the K-12 audience. The successful candidate will have a passion for history, particularly Tennessee history, education, and children as well as an ability to leverage digital learning skills with history education. This person will demonstrate an ability to innovate and launch new outreach programs in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Under the direction of the Manager of K-12 Education, the Education Outreach Coordinator will manage existing outreach programs including Tennessee Traveling Trunks, virtual field trips, and in-person programs as well as innovate new programs to reach new audiences. Therefore, this person must be highly organized and skilled in curriculum development and digital learning. This position will also reach out to underserved areas of the state to engage them with the museum's resources and services. It will also supervise one museum program assistant and must demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate, and develop a staff person that will assist in the implementation of these programs. The salary range for these positions is $2,769 - $3,600 monthly, plus state benefits The procedure to apply for positions at the Museum is to follow the procedures set by the Dept. of Human Resources for the State of Tennessee.
