The University of Oklahoma Libraries seeks to recruit a Liaison Coordinator. This is a benefits-eligible, department head position with a 5-year term. The Liaison Coordinator will oversee a dynamic and evolving liaison librarian program for the sciences, humanities, social sciences, and business. This new position will serve a critical role in ensuring University Libraries is poised to meet the ambitious research and student success goals outlined in the University's Lead On strategic plan. The coordinator will also serve as a liaison to academic departments as needed. Liaisons promote the use of library resources, services, and facilities by developing outreach programs, by partnering with units across campus, and through assessing the evolving needs of today's students and faculty to implement new services as warranted. This position is currently funded for 5 years; permanent funding will be pursued but is not guaranteed. Management & Administrative Duties Provides direct supervision for liaison librarians in the sciences, humanities, business, and social sciences. Establishes and maintains a liaison program that articulates standards for engaging constituents and holds liaisons accountable for maintaining these standards. Works with liaisons and UL Collection Management to prioritize purchases and coordinate collection management projects as necessary. Develops and maintains strong working relationships within University Libraries to better engage with and refer to data services and digital initiatives. Creates reports on liaison activities related to research consultations, instructional activities, outreach programs, and other activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness, as requested. Participates in development and implementation of library policies and practices as related to liaison librarians. Performs special duties as assigned.
