BAKERY / CAKE DECORATOR en Irvine

CREMA ARTISAN BAKERS - LOOKING FOR A CAKE DECORATOR (DECORADOR DE PASTELES): This production team member is responsible for icing, filling, and finishing cakes in preparation for packaging and delivery. This includes slicing cake layers, applying fillings and frostings, and ensuring a smooth, consistent finish to meet quality standards. The role does not involve decorative piping or custom cake design. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large batches and commercial equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

4-5 Days in the Morning 6am-2pm:

Starting Pay: $18.00 / DOE

Responsibilities:

• Slice, fill, and frost cakes according to production standards and specifications
• Ensure consistency and quality in appearance, portioning, and layering of cakes
• Prepare buttercream, ganache, or other frostings and fillings as needed
• Operate commercial mixers and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of all tools, equipment, and work surfaces throughout and after shift
• Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored in accordance with food safety code standards
  Requirements:
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organize tasks, multi-task, balance priorities efficiently, and deliver expected results.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of food quality, hygiene, sanitation, and safety.
• Must have flexible work schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Understand and adhere to organizational and department policies and procedures,
• Accept direction willingly and follow through with delegated tasks.
  

Physical Demands / Requirements & Work Conditions

This position requires frequent mobility, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time. This position requires lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 pounds. This position also requires the operation of heavy equipment. Safety and health procedures must be followed for this position.
