POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for operation of Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) lathes and mills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for safety in own work area and participate in creating a safe workplace.
• Runs CNC Lathe and Mill Machines and equipment from set up to operation with existing programs and tooling information.
• Producing parts and tools from different resources mostly aluminum and steel.
• Monitoring machinery and equipment and inspecting in process and finished products to ensure quality specifications and production demands are met.
• Offset machine and equipment changes.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented setting.
• Meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Quality that support Safety, Compliance, Six Sigma Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD) and financial objectives.
• Provides back up and assistance to others in department.
• Perform basic daily maintenance on machinery as needed.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience and formal training.
• Able to make edit changes on existing CNC programs.
• Hands on problem-solving to detect issues in the production process and find solutions to ensure quality production.
• Hands on experience with quality inspection metrology using measuring tools such as calipers, and micrometers, gauges, dial indicators as well as visual quality assurance.
• Minimum 1year experience with CNC lathe and mill.
• Able to read blueprints, routing and shop aids
• Mathematical ability and problem solving
• Must be an effective communicator, and computer literate.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and adjust in a fast-paced work environment and make timely decisions in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Willing to work overtime, including Saturdays.
