General Labor – Skills, Requirements & Qualifications
Skills:
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Time management and punctuality
Teamwork and collaboration
Basic problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Safety awareness and ability to follow safety protocols
Requirements:
Must be able to lift [typically 50 lbs] or more as required
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods
Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
Flexibility to work in various weather conditions or environments (indoor/outdoor)
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred (not always required)
Prior general labor, warehouse, or construction experience preferred but not required
Valid driver’s license (if operating vehicles or equipment is part of the job)
Forklift or equipment certification (if applicable)
Basic English communication skills (bilingual may be a plus)
