Essential Job Responsibilities
• Working knowledge of line equipment for setup, repair, and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect, operate, and evaluate machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Change over equipment for different-sized containers and products. (Liquid fillers, Label machines, cap machines date coders etc.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts to conduct repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, such as inspecting motors, pneumatic pumps, centrifugal pumps, bearings , belts, fluid levels, and replacing filters.
• Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory.
• Document all maintenance performed including preventative maintenance.
• Identify any required parts needed and notify the supervisor.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Basic understanding of PLC and HMI.
• Ensure facility supervisors are notified when maintenance or repairs are to be undertaken.
• Remove all tools and debris from any maintenance activity once it has been completed.
• Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example.
• Other duties as assigned include working in tank farms in wet conditions, elevated tanks, and assisting with Building maintenance tasks as needed.
