Job description:

The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing the production schedule within the warehouse environment. This role ensures that inventory, resources, and materials are aligned to meet customer demand and production targets efficiently. The Production Planner works closely with warehouse operations, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize workflow, minimize delays, and maintain high levels of accuracy and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts, order priorities, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with warehouse supervisors, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to handle changes in demand, delays, or resource availability.
Analyze inventory levels and work to reduce excess or shortage through efficient planning.
Collaborate with procurement to schedule material deliveries and avoid production stoppages.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards during production planning.
Communicate production plans and any changes clearly to warehouse staff and management.
Prepare production reports and documentation for management review.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, or planning tools to track and optimize production schedules.
