Staff Software Engineer

Staff Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Durham, NC (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Responsible for development of services supporting regulatory compliance & improving the company's security posture. Perform front and backend development that leverage Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to enable automation, integration, and scalability which collectively enhance the value from, and user experience with, the services provided. Drive automation into business processes to enable more efficient workflows. Automate end-user tasks supporting regulatory compliance activities through design and implementation of services built on modern, cloud-based architectures & technologies. Contribute to the day-to-day development, implementation, monitoring and operational support of services and portals. Identify needs, architect, design, and code associated tooling and support services to support the company's corporate critical missions for network, product, and application security. Contribute to developer-centric education focused on the use of and integration with enterprise access control and authentication services. Contribute to the overall company Enterprise & Technology Security (E&TS) mission through the sharing of information and expertise. Utilized Java, JavaScript, Agile and SQL (Structured Query Language), HTML and XML. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer or related.
