Position Title Executive Director of Human Resources & Staff Relations Required Application Type Teacher / Admin Job Description Addison Central School is a fiscally sound district and a great place to work with outstanding students, a quality staff and a supportive Board of Education and community. It is located in New York State's Southern Tier and serves more than 1,000 students in grades PreK-12. Preferred qualifications include: A comprehensive understanding of school district and building leadership; demonstrated commitment to the education of children with varying needs and the advancement of student achievement and growth; experience with school finance, budget development and negotiations; effective mentoring skills; ability to develop policies, regulations and procedures; experience in all areas of human resource management and annual evaluations; outstanding written, verbal and relationship building skills. This is a key central office position reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools and has overall responsibility for oversight of all planning, development and implementation of the district-wide Human Resource goals, including hiring processes, staff retention, mandatory employee training, benefits and compensation, grievance resolution, District culture and morale, Civil Service and NYS Education Department laws and regulations and digitization of employee files. The Executive Director of Human Resources and Staff Relations assists the Superintendent of Schools in day-to-day operations while overseeing the entire Human Resources function of the District. Job Qualifications The successful applicant must have a NY State administrative certification as a SDA, and/ or a SDL, SDBL, SBL, and a minimum of five years of building level administration and/or central office experience with related degree(s). Candidates must be able to contribute at the cabinet level, be part of a collaborative leadership team and support the instructional mission and financial goals of the district. The successful candidate will be hard-working, a problem solver who possesses a high level of interpersonal and critical thinking skills, industrious and a self-starter who is adept with technology and data analysis.
