The ideal candidate for this outside sales position is local to the communities that The Bellingham Herald serves. Our Account Executives drive multi-media sales revenue, strive to understand a customer's needs (both current and desired) and craft customized solutions, often with a focus on digital marketing, built to drive ROI and reach customer goals. Account Executives understand our unique set of solutions and have the ability to effectively show they drive results for their customers, resulting in successful marketing campaigns. Primary Responsibilities: Retain and grow current account base Pipeline management, prospecting, lead-generation and development of new accounts Ability to secure meetings with prospective customers, completing a thorough needs analysis Develop Results-Based Solutions, focused on customer needs and goals Present and close proposals Work with internal client success team to ensure client goals/expectations are met Regularly meet and exceed meeting thresholds set by leaders Utilize AdPoint as a Predictive and Collaborative tool Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Position requires at least 3-5 years' experience in media sales, preferably with high digital acumen Has an innate hunter mindset combined with strong prospecting skills. Persuasive and patient yet has a compelling and compassionate approach. You'll be forging strong relationships with customers and must be able to earn their trust. The ideal candidate
