What's Extraordinary About This Job The Vice President of Talent & Culture will develop and lead all strategies related to Visit Seattle's team optimization and development. This will be done collaboratively with the internal executive team and strategic consulting partners, and includes oversight of people philosophies, frameworks, policies and practices that allow the organization to deliver on its mission and vision. The Vice President of Talent & Culture will coach others to help influence and execute business objectives. The person in this role works with considerable independence, efficiency, productivity and skilled at navigating ambiguity. This role directly leads practices related to team member engagement, benefits administration, recruiting, learning and development, as well as overseeing the business operations of the HR department, including budget management, personnel development, and other administrative functions. This is a player/coach role with a unique opportunity for a driven HR professional to take their experience to the next level with a mission-driven organization. Successful candidates will excel in relationship building, be experienced setting HR strategy while aligning with solid operation practices. In addition to a hands-on, operational focus, this role is also responsible for ensuring the work of HR supports shaping the workplace culture that enables team members to thrive and do their best work. What You'll Do Collaborate with senior leadership to support the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Provide senior level HR guidance to the Executive team. Serve as a thought partner and strategic advisor to develop creative solutions for solving problems and improving the quality of the work environment. Serve as a team member Champion and resource while effective balancing the priority of minimizing organization liability, risk, and exposure. Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource culture, compliance, and strategy needs.
