Job description: Job Summary We are a bustling neighborhood bakery looking for a reliable, hard-working Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in every stage of our baking process—from working directly with the fresh dough to monitoring the ovens and packaging the final products. Key Responsibilities Dough Work & Prep: Mix, divide, shape, and prep fresh dough according to our standard recipes. Oven Operations: Load items carefully into the ovens, track baking times, and rotate trays to ensure perfect, even bakes. Packaging & Packing: Sort, cool, and pack finished baked goods into bags and boxes accurately and cleanly. Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean workspace, wash baking sheets, and ensure the baking area meets health and safety standards. What We Are Looking For Experience: Minimum 1 year of commercial baking or heavy dough-handling experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (for flour bags and heavy dough trays) and stand for long periods. Environment: Comfort working in a warm kitchen environment near hot commercial ovens. Availability: Must be able to work full-time evening hours starting at 6:00 PM.
