$18.00/hr Starting + Tips | Immediate Hiring Benny's Tacos & Chicken Rotisserie 915 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401 Benny's Tacos is hiring a friendly, dependable Cashier / Guest Service team member for our busy fast casual Mexican restaurant. Entry-level applicants are welcome! Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience is a plus. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping guests, learns quickly, follows directions, and takes pride in doing their job correctly. This is an active position. Our cashiers do more than take orders. They serve guests, help prepare orders, maintain the dining room, and support the team throughout the shift. PAY & BENEFITS Starting pay: $18.00 per hour + tips Higher starting pay may be offered based on experience One free meal per shift On-the-job training Opportunities for growth within the company Immediate hiring JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately Learn our menu, ingredients, and common modifications Operate the POS system and process payments Handle cash and provide accurate change Serve food to guests and call out orders clearly Verify takeout and delivery orders for accuracy Portion chips and salsa Keep tables and dining areas clean Restock cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and supplies Sweep, mop, and remove trash as needed Clean and reset stations before leaving Assist coworkers during busy periods MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Basic customer service and communication skills Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback Basic math skills and ability to handle payments accurately Willingness to learn our menu and POS system Friendly and comfortable speaking with guests Strong attention to detail Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work standing and walking throughout the shift Willingness to complete required food safety training Authorization to work in the United States Previous restaurant, cashier, or Toast POS experience is a plus but not required. When the restaurant is busy, guest service comes first. During slower periods, employees are expected to clean, restock, organize, and prepare for the next rush.
