CNC Mill Setup Machinist

Serrano Industries, Inc. is looking for a dependable CNC Mill Setup Machinist with hands-on setup experience. The right candidate should be able to read blueprints, use inspection equipment, make machine adjustments, and work with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and production requirements.

Responsibilities
• Set up CNC mills for production jobs
• Install and touch off tooling and establish work offsets
• Load and prove out programs; make necessary offset adjustments and basic program edits
• Inspect first-piece and in-process parts to blueprint requirements
• Troubleshoot tooling, setup, and machining issues
• Maintain part quality and keep jobs running efficiently
• Work with operators and team members to support production
Qualifications
• 2+ years of CNC mill setup experience preferred
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints
• Must be confident using calipers and micrometers
• Must understand work offsets, tool offsets, tool changes, and basic CNC program edits
• Must be able to inspect your own work and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
• Experience with Fadal and/or Fanuc controls preferred
• Experience with Fadal, Doosan, or Hyundai CNC mills is a plus
• 5-axis machining or setup experience is a plus
• Aerospace or tight-tolerance machining experience is a plus
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
