Sushi Chef / Sushi Roll Cook Avenue Shabu Shabu – Huntington Beach, CA Job Description Avenue Shabu Shabu is looking for a reliable and experienced Sushi Chef / Sushi Roll Cook to join our team in Huntington Beach. This position is primarily focused on preparing sushi rolls and sushi station ingredients. No nigiri preparation is required. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently, maintain a clean station, and consistently prepare quality rolls in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities * Prepare and make sushi rolls according to restaurant standards * Prep fish, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients for the sushi station * Maintain proper portioning and presentation * Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and fully stocked * Follow food safety and sanitation procedures * Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients * Assist with opening and closing duties for the sushi station * Work efficiently during busy service periods * Communicate and work well with other kitchen team members Qualifications * Previous sushi roll or sushi kitchen experience preferred * Nigiri experience is NOT required * Basic knife and food preparation skills * Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment * Reliable and punctual * Clean and organized work habits * Good communication and teamwork * Willingness to learn and follow Avenue Shabu Shabu’s recipes and standards Position Details Location: Avenue Shabu Shabu – Huntington Beach, CA Position: Sushi Chef / Sushi Roll Cook Pay: Based on experience Schedule: Full-time or part-time availability may be considered How to Apply Please apply with your previous restaurant or sushi experience and your current availability.
