Stone Shop Fabricator Assistant

1st shift: 6:00am to 3:00pm

Payrate: $22/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Stone Shop Fabricator Assistant to support the fabrication team in preparing, cutting, polishing, and installing natural and engineered stone products. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn.


Responsibilities

· Assist fabricators with measuring, cutting, grinding, polishing, and finishing stone materials.

· Load, unload, move, and safely handle slabs and finished stone products.

· Operate and assist with basic shop tools and equipment after proper training.

· Prepare stone pieces for fabrication and installation.

· Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.

· Assist with quality control by checking measurements, edges, finishes, and overall appearance.

· Follow safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Help with packaging, loading, and securing completed projects for delivery.

· Assist installation crews when needed.

· Support CNC machine operations

· Perform other general shop duties as assigned.


Qualifications

· Previous experience in a stone, countertop, construction, or fabrication shop is preferred but not required.

· Willingness to learn stone fabrication techniques and safely operate shop equipment.

· Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic measurements and instructions.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Dependable, punctual, and willing to work in a physically demanding environment.

· Must be able to lift and move heavy materials with appropriate assistance and equipment.

· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.


Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.

· Ability to safely handle heavy stone materials with team members and lifting equipment.

· Comfortable working around water, dust, noise, and fabrication machinery.

· Must follow all shop safety procedures.


Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday. Overtime may be available depending on workload.
