Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Human Resource Manager will provide overall direction and strategic human resources leadership to Sauti Yetu African Women, Inc . Serving as a member of the executive management team, the Human Resources Manager will serve as an internal consultant to the senior leadership team (program directors, and supervisors) on personnel issues that affect performance and business relationships. The Human Resources Manager will oversee the development and implementation of concrete human resources policies, programs and services, including legal compliance, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices and procedures. The Director of Human Resources will assume an important role in strengthening the organization's human resource systems, and support and cultivate the human capital through professional development and technical resources. SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Provide direction, planning and management of a broad range of HR functions, including talent recruitment, personnel policies, standards and best practices; recruitment and staffing; on-board and off-boarding; performance management; benefits; employee relations; employment laws, regulations and compliance; HRIS and payroll processing. Provide guidance to executive and management teams regarding employee relations, personnel and organizational matters in a diplomatic and objective manner that frames the issue and helps with the solution. Conduct staff development and organization culture that demonstrates dignity and respect. Enthusiastic promoter for being highly ethical and insistent on integrity in decision-making and effective and persuasive communication and consensus building. Develops and maintains external relationships with the agency insurance broker and employment agencies. Liaison to governmental agencies i.e. Department of Labor. Represent the organization at meetings, forums and with individuals. Supervise the receptionist/office assistant. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred in human relations area or at least 3 years experience
