This job requires driving and flexible hours to accommodate the individual sports seasons. It requires personality to work with many great coaches, and a few who may be tougher to get to know. The ARN has a long-standing tradition of area coverage, which includes following players and teams to state championships. Photo/video and social media skills are essential. Writing includes competition reports, features and columns. Additional highlights are weekly rankings and predictions - elements that enhance weekly coverage in a creative way. This person also helps with local coverage, as needed and time permits. Our writers often cross-edit on deadline, so adequate editing skills are needed.
