Program Manager I State of Connecticut Judicial Branch Hartford The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a Program Manager I to supervise and review the work of four Internal Audit unit staff performing tasks in the examination of financial records for the Judicial Branch. This position reports to the Internal Audit Unit Director. The successful candidate will oversee and review the work of staff conducting statewide reviews of accounting procedures, documentation, and transactions to ensure system uniformity and effectiveness in meeting established standards; provide staff training and assistance; and provide audit plan status updates to leadership. Attention to detail is critical. Ability to work within budgeted time allowances is essential. Superior organizational and administrative skills are vital. Knowledge of the State and Federal Single Audit Acts are a plus. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire for continual learning with a proven ability to apply considerable, advanced, and essential interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to maintain cooperative and professional work relationships with internal and external partners, and to provide training and support to staff; possess strong mathematical aptitude and technology/computer skills in order to research and analyze data; have proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office applications, with considerable knowledge of Excel and Word. Salary Range: $105,093 - $138,725/year – plus State of Connecticut benefits. New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.
