Department: Quality Systems Reports To: Director of Quality Systems FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Direct Reports: None OSHA Risk Category: 2 Job Summary/Scope The BI/Report Developer is responsible for developing/programming/coding and documenting applications and integrations used on a variety of platforms; integral in the design of applications; performing QA activities to verify data integrity. Responsible for designing, developing, and testing computer reports, dashboards, and applications. Applications and integrations include reports, data exports, Business Intelligence (BI)/Data Warehousing (DW) tasks, and other data related tasks. The BI/Report Developer has an in depth understanding of the uses of applications and data to support business needs and requirements. This position requires excellent communication, technical, and project management skills. Essential Functions Designs and develops/programs/codes new SQL procedures, SSRS packages, and BI/DW reports and dashboards ranging from simple to complex to meet business needs. Assures the integrity of data and associated reports, including data extraction, manipulation, processing, and analysis. Troubleshoots data issues, validates result sets, recommends, and implement process improvements. Adheres to developing/programming/coding standards and documentation requirements. Assists in the development and improvement of policies and procedures for appropriate data uses throughout the organization. Assists in ensuring the utilization of advanced data analysis, including statistical analysis, data mining techniques and use of MS SQL Server (particularly T-SQL and SSRS), and other analytic software such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and Excel. Collaborates with subject matter experts and department leaders to define report and dashboard requirements. Participates in Data Warehousing (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) projects and works to ensure implementation.
