Job Duties:
· Perform “shake-out” operations to physically remove, separate and organize sheet metal parts
· Retrieve and transport sheet metal parts as needed throughout the fabrication department
· Prepare sheet metal parts as needed for all department operations and processes
· Properly dispose of sheet metal scrap
· Facilitate material flow across entire fabrication department
· Communicate effectively with department personnel to facilitate production orders
· Assist department personnel as needed and follow instructions as provided by supervisor or skilled personnel
· Provide second person support in handling of large parts
· Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem
· Follow instructions as provided by supervisor
· Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
· Cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area
· Adhere to all company safety regulations, including those regarding machine operation and proper guarding
· Other duties as assigned
