Probation/Pretrial Officer I Salary: $36,117.90 - $59,594.54 Annually Location: IDA - 501 Appleyard Dr. Tallahassee, FL Job Type: Career Service Full Time Department: Office of Intervention & Detention Alternatives Job Number: 056A-23 Closing: Continuous Pay Grade: 104 General Description of Duties GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The purpose of this position is to provide case management, and/or 24-hour service at the jail to support court orders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provides case management to assigned offenders. Receives and reviews newly assigned case load files to ensure accuracy of release conditions, client reporting for initial explanation of procedures for compliance with court ordered conditions to defendants and family members. Reviews financial profile and completes case management plan at initial interview. Maintains current files on all cases (active and inactive) to include documents relating to monitoring and supervision of court ordered conditions. Address any issues of non-compliance with office visits, telephone contact, or written correspondence with the defendant. Reviews and updates personal information screen to reflect the status of clients (i.e. address, phone, et cetera). Reviews and updates all monetary conditions to reflect accurate amounts owed. Sees all clients in the office as needed and required by office policies and procedures. Generates and reviews daily Justice Information System (JIS) activity reports to ensure proper and timely notifications and/or actions are taken with the defendant for continued compliance; updates are recorded in the case management system within 24 hours of contact, as well as any response to case related activity. Reviews weekly monitoring report to ensure proper documentation of client's compliance with court-ordered conditions (i.e. test results for random alco-breathalyzer tests and urinalysis testing) is received, reviewed and appropriate action is taken. Monitors clients payments of all supervision fees, diversion fees, community service fees, work program fees, restitution and any other fees assessed by the court on request.
