INTRODUCTION: The Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy - Adult Infectious Diseases (non-tenure track) will support the mission and vision of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Administration and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy through teaching, scholarship, and service. The Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy will be responsible for clinical practice and education on an adult infectious diseases inpatient care service and HIV clinic at Cooper University Health Care. This individual will be responsible for precepting pharmacy students and residents on experiential (IPPE and APPE) rotations. Additionally, the individual will assist with on-campus teaching, student mentoring, and student precepting at the Cooper Rowan Clinic (an interprofessional student managed clinic). The individual will have additional responsibilities serving on institutional committees and other working groups, as applicable. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Successful completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency programs or equivalent experience. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Certificates of successful completion of PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency programs, unless equivalent experience License to practice pharmacy in the State of New Jersey. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Teaching skills Clinical experience Teamwork skills Time management/organizational skills Leadership/management skills Analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.
