Shipping Dispatcher en Salinas
The leaders in fresh produce packaging are immediately hiring day shift Dispatchers. Ideal candidates have a hybrid warehouse/customer service background, are flexible to work weekends as needed, with a compensation of $17.00an hour. These are full-time, temp-to-hire positions, with overtime opportunities.
Summary:
This position is responsible for the coordination of shipping and receiving activities, including dock usage.
Job Function Statements Essential Functions:
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Compliance to SOP's, GMPs, Housekeeping, Safety, and all other FE policies.
- Communicate with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Transportation, Customer Service, and the rest of the FDC team on a regular basis (conference calls, proactive communication and information sharing as needed).
- File and document maintenance
- Maintaining supplies and ordering as needed (includes office supplies, BOL's, templates, etc.)
- Accurate data entry and file maintenance in PRMS.
- Following proper documentation procedures.
- Ship confirmation of Customer orders.
- Maintain and execute requests for trailer moves in YMS, yard management system and insure follow-up is done as needed for YMS alerts.
- Compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Other Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Bilingual - English/Spanish
AS400, Microsoft Office, and inventory experience a plus.

1-2 years of dispatch or related experience

Education/Training:
High School Diploma
