Position Summary
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting food products from the warehouse to retail customers, restaurants, and other business clients throughout the Ontario area and surrounding regions. This role ensures deliveries are made accurately, on time, and in compliance with safety and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company delivery vehicles (e.g., cargo vans, box trucks) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
Load, transport, and deliver wholesale food products to customers on assigned routes.
Assist with organizing and securing inventory in the vehicle before departure.
Follow delivery routes efficiently, using GPS or route plans provided.
Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with customers and addressing delivery concerns.
Obtain delivery signatures and complete accurate delivery documentation.
Report any vehicle issues, delivery discrepancies, or customer concerns to the supervisor.
Assist with warehouse tasks when not on delivery routes, such as unloading, stocking, or preparing orders as needed.
Maintain clean and safe vehicle conditions; inspect vehicle regularly for safety and operational issues.
