Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload shipments using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and manual handling techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to optimize time and fuel consumption Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service through professional communication and timely arrivals Assist in warehouse operations by moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the warehouse environment Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper vehicle maintenance Use manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in driving different types of commercial trucks or personal vehicles for delivery purposes Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or warehouse associate with familiarity in warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience; experience operating box trucks, vans, or similar vehicles preferred Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace to prevent injuries Ability to adhere to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies during all driving activities Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus; familiarity with route driving using mobile devices is preferred Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including moving boxes, pallets, and other materials throughout shifts Commitment to safety standards, including proper use of manual handling equipment like pallet jacks and moving carts This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your driving skills while contributing directly to our operational success.
