During July and August, individuals and families of Bakersfield will unite with millions to watch the much-anticipated 2022 convention “Pursue Peace.”

“This is something we look forward to every year,” said Jesse Chavez, whose family plans to attend each session throughout the summer. “This convention will help all of us learn how to pursue peace as a family and community. I think we need that more now than ever before.”

Although viewing the program virtually the past three years, the benefits have remained the same. This year will be no different.

“This convention is an object lesson in how peace is being achieved by a global community right now as it unites millions of people even in areas of conflict like Ukraine and Russia,” said Robert Hendriks, U.S. spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “The power of the principles being discussed transcends national borders, ethnic differences, and language barriers. Both individuals and families will benefit from attending the program.”

Before 2020, the annual conventions have been hosted locally at the Long Beach Arena, It is hoped that large in-person gatherings will be hosted again in the future.

The three-day program will be available in six half-day increments where such topics will be discussed as:

● Why the Bible can be called “the road map to family peace.”

● Why friendship with God can lead to true peace.

The concluding presentation will be one to surely not miss -- “Universal Peace is Sure to Come!”

All are invited to view the free program. The first segment can be streamed or downloaded on jw.org beginning June 27, 2022.
