Planning & Programming ManagerApplications are now being accepted for a full time, exempt position of Planning and Programming Manager. Starting salary is $76,731 - $92,061 annually/DOQ.ACHD offers an excellent benefit package with medical, vision and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental leave, 401K match and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).Primary Duties: The Planning/Programming Manager is responsible for the research, development, implementation and management of the Districts short-range (programming) and long-range (planning) plans. The Manager will need to work with federal, state and local transportation and land use agencies to coordinate transportation infrastructure needs. The Manager exercises general supervision over subordinate supervisors and professional personnel.Qualifications: The successful candidate must have strong management skills supplemented with a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of federal and state laws relative to the operation of a Highway District; and Management practices and procedures. Must have considerable knowledge of District programs and project parameters, including budgetary process; Funding sources including Federal Aid; Principals and practices of public administration; Planning and Programming methods. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Public Administration or related field is required; Experience in a progressively responsible capacity in public administration, preferable in an independent agency comparable to the District is preferred. OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.A completed ACHD application is required and must be submitted to HR by 4:30 pm on June 9, 2022.
