Embroidery Machine Operator

Overview

The position is responsible for operating a multi-head embroidery machine to decorate garment and non-garment products.

What you’ll do

· Embroiders orders per instructions contained within the order document.

· Checks the order against the paperwork to confirm receiving the correct sizes and colors.

· Load the digitized design into the embroidery machine and program the proper color steps.

· Check the proposed design against the paperwork to confirm that it matches the required

color, size, and placement.

· Hooping the garment or non-garment securely to allow for proper sewing.

· Selects size and color thread and draws it through machine guides and bobbin.

· Turns setscrews to regulate machine settings.

· Observes operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and

notifies supervisor of malfunction.

· Operate a Barudan 8-head or single-head Embroidery Machine.

· Minor maintenance, oiling, frequent cleaning of the machine, and changing threads.

· Multitask to assure the machine runs with minimal downtime.

· Communicate any questions to the Manager.

Basic qualifications

• Experience in garment construction and sewing techniques
  Proficiency in operating sewing machines and other related equipment
  Familiarity with manufacturing processes in a warehouse environment

Preferred qualifications
Previous experience as an embroidery machine operator or similar role
Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for color matching and design accuracy
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
