The Land, Buildings and Real Estate (LBRE) Resilience and Response program offers an innovative, exciting, and meaningful work opportunity that allows you to make a real difference in the organization's safety, well-being, and preparedness. JOB PURPOSE: Under minimal supervision, performs complex technical work in a wide range of environmental, health, and safety disciplines to ensure a safe work environment and achieve compliance with governmental, Stanford University, and LBRE's environmental, health, and safety standards and regulations. Develops, implements, and participates in safety, health, emergency response, and resilience programs, working closely with key stakeholders at LBRE and Campus. CORE DUTIES: Works under consultative or self-initiated direction to develop, implement, and maintain programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of LBRE employees and the community. Acts as a lead or technical expert, providing functional direction and developing/delivering training in the general application of health and safety programs. Conducts comprehensive, independent compliance assurance reviews of environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures; prepares accompanying management reports, documentation, and evaluations. Participates in developing, implementing, and managing hazard identification and correction programs such as the Job Safety Analysis, Pre-Task Planning, job briefings, and complex jobs requiring multi-party involvement. Performs field observations to ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA and LBRE Safety programs. Maintains communication with the LBRE Safety Director and operational groups to resolve technical problems and bring issues to the department's attention. Develops and implements LBRE's emergency preparedness and response programs and capabilities by the SU-emergency preparedness program. Investigates accidents, incidents, injuries, and complaints concerning emergencies, potential hazards, or unsafe conditions in the workplace. Coordinates emergency incident action reports a
