The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark, is recruiting a full-time Neuroradiologist for its Division of Neuroradiology. We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level to join our dynamic and evolving division; new graduates are also encouraged to apply. We serve a diverse community with a wide range of interesting cases, covering a level 1 Trauma center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, a busy head and neck service, and a dental school. We are a collegial department that values education of residents, clinical excellence, and faculty personal growth and well-being. Research tracks are available for those with strong research interests, although research is not required. Our department provides overnight attending coverage with a separate, dedicated Emergency Radiology Section. The position will offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The Department of Radiology has 28 clinical and research faculty members, and 18 diagnostic radiology residents who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. The department is responsible for all aspects of neuroradiology at University Hospital, which is a tertiary care center, as well as the Doctor's Office Center, an outpatient facility on campus. Clinical responsibilities will include all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology and procedures limited to image-guided lumbar punctures, myelography, and biopsies of the head, neck and spine. The successful applicant will be fellowship trained in Neuroradiology, must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, and must be ABR eligible or certified in Diagnostic Radiology. Neuroradiology CAQ certification is required upon hiring or as soon as the candidate is eligible.
