Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged to apply. The current vacancy is in the Executive Office - Information Services, Ukiah. The list developed from this recruitment will be used for a limited period to fill open and promotional, regular full-time, and part-time positions throughout the County, should they occur. Current vacancy performs support and analysis of major computer software applications; makes recommendations about major computer software upgrades and helps manage the transition to new versions by utilizing standard project management techniques. Communicates with end users and vendors, develops timelines, schedules and performs training in support of major software applications. Enters and tracks technical issues using vendor support systems, communicates the status of issues with end users. Assists in troubleshooting issues surrounding major software applications, operates as a liaison between vendors and county staff. Maintains project timelines and status for reporting and tracking. Performs analysis of existing departmental functions and procedures , researches and recommends solutions to improve efficiency and reduce complexity of existing and new systems and processes. Provides ongoing, detailed reporting and information about such projects and processes to upper management and staff for resource and budgeting needs. Under general supervision, performs paraprofessional information technology work pertaining to the maintenance and routine administration of computer programs that support specialized departmental functions using standard platforms and technologies; troubleshoots, researches and resolves moderately complex technical application problems; and provides paraprofessional and technical user support pertaining to assigned programs and systems including the documentation of methods and instructions.
