At its simplest, a sedan is a traditional 4-door car with a closed roof and separate trunk. Popular models include the Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla and Chevrolet Malibu. Sedans come in a variety of shapes and sizes from large to compact and most have an engine in the front that drives either the front or rear wheels. Options also include models powered by gasoline, diesel fuel, electricity or a combination (usually called hybrids).
