Responsibilities:

Lead CNC operators to ensure efficient machining of aerospace-grade components.
Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to drive team productivity.
Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.


Production Planning & Workflow Optimization:

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Ensure machined parts meet specifications, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
Use precision measuring tools (CMMs, micrometers, calipers) for inspections.
Maintain adherence to AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards.


Tooling & Equipment Maintenance:

Oversee maintenance and calibration of CNC machines, cutting tools, and fixtures.
Troubleshoot machining defects and implement corrective actions.
Ensure correct setup and programming for optimal machine performance.


Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

Implement strategies to enhance machining performance and reduce scrap.
Collaborate with engineering to refine machining techniques for complex parts.
Use data analysis to improve cycle times and machining accuracy.

Work closely with casting, deburring, customer service, and quality control teams to ensure smooth production flow.


Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain records of machining parameters, production metrics, and quality inspections.
Generate reports on production efficiency, defect rates, and improvement efforts.
Ensure all documentation is audit-ready and meets compliance requirements.

Experience:

5+ years in CNC machining, preferably in aerospace aluminum die casting.
Leadership experience in a production or manufacturing setting.

Strong understanding of aerospace aluminum alloys and machining processes.
Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and team management.
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
Skilled in working cross-functionally across departments.
