Die Maker

Role and Responsibilities:

The Die Maker's responsibilities include preparing the dies for press, monitoring the process while it is in pre-make ready checking the final product for quality. Responisble for communication with CAD department and help on press or pre-make ready when needed.

Objective: Knife incoming dies, re knife exisiting dies and help operators when needed.

Equipment: Easy Bender Turbo, Iberica 105 blanker, Bobst NovaCut.

Tasks Performed:

-Work with CAD department on schedule.

-Pull files on easy bender turbo

-Knife new dies.

-Rule up die according to stock and caliper.

-Tap off sample and compare CAD sample for structure.

-Perpare all tooling for die cutting equipment as scheduled.

-Build and preset stripping components to make press ready.

-Build and preset blanking components to make press ready.

-Tooling storage and die log.

Working with flat dies, rotary dies, and chip boards.
