Electro Mechanic en San Bernardino

Electro-Mechanic /Food Processing Plant

Now hiring Electro Mechanic in the City of San Bernardino. This position requires an individual to perform maintenance and repair work on various production equipment and other facility related machinery in a food processing environment, while requiring minimal supervision.

1st shift - 6m start time (must be flexible with the start date)
Pay rate: $25.00 + DOE
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Make necessary repairs to all building, packing and processing equipment as directed by lead and Director of maintenance

2. Be flexible to change of priorities on assigned task

3. Complete daily work orders and PM’s provided by shift lead

4. Follow up on shop clean up activities on a daily basis.

5. Work to reduce unplanned downtime Through effective troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment.

6. Document all parts and supplies used throughout shift.

7. Respond to line emergency calls as needed to perform set-up adjustments, timings and troubleshooting and replacement of mechanical/electrical equipment

8. Keep all work areas safe and clean.

Physical Requirements (if applicable)

1. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

2. Ability to withstand prolonged walking and standing.

3. Climbing, stooping and pulling required.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

1. Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

2. 2 years of experience as an electro/mechanic in food industry or completion of a technical degree/vocational training program strongly preferred

3. Ability to read and understand blue prints and read equipment manuals,

4. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.

5. Knowledge of CMMS programs such as E-maint. is a plus

6. Experience in Ishida scales and horizontal and vertical wrappers, twist wrappers and flow wrappers is a plus

7. Ability to rebuild and repair gearboxes, pumps, and other manufacturing equipment.
