Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move materials and products within a warehouse or storage facility. This role ensures the smooth and efficient flow of goods while adhering to safety guidelines and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate Forklift: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load, unload, stack, and move products within the warehouse.
Inventory Management: Assist with the tracking and management of inventory by moving products to designated storage areas and ensuring correct labeling and organization.
Product Handling: Ensure the safe transport of fragile and heavy goods while minimizing damage.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate protective gear, and ensure proper maintenance of forklift equipment.
Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers, ensuring goods are securely handled.
Order Picking: Select and prepare orders for shipping or storage as per inventory requirements.
Quality Control: Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors.
Clean and Maintain Equipment: Perform regular checks and maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
Assist with Stock Replenishment: Support the replenishment of inventory and ensure shelves are stocked and accessible.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Valid forklift operator certification.
Previous experience operating a forklift (preferred).
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work with a team.
Basic math and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy items (typically up to 50 pounds).
Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
Operating a forklift or other material handling equipment for long periods.
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting with varying temperatures (may be exposed to cold or hot environments).
Safety protocols must be followed at all times.
