Job Title: Assistant – Lighting Consoles Department

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 per week
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to join our Lighting Consoles Department. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations including product inspections, inventory handling, and equipment shipping. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term employment with our company.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Department Lead in inspecting lighting equipment components for defects (e.g., loose connections, frayed wires) and verifying assembly accuracy.
Support testing of faulty equipment using appropriate testing tools and procedures.
Assist with software installations and updates on lighting consoles and processing units.
Replace or repair defective components using hand tools and technical skills.
Operate test equipment to confirm successful repairs.
Review manuals and technical specifications to support installation procedures.
Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records using Flex software.
Collaborate with the Repair Supervisor to troubleshoot operational issues in the Lead’s absence.
Prepare and ensure consoles and related equipment are ready for shipment to show sites.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Test, clean, and inspect ProPlex fiber cables, dimmers, and distro units.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong attention to detail.
Previous warehouse or technical repair experience is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, whether working independently or as part of a team.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
Frequent walking, stooping, and bending.
