MAINTENANCE/GARDENA en Gardena

We are seeking staff for the City of Gardena for the first shift Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Pay rate is open between $17.00 to $22.00 (Depends on experience)

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and CAM software.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and
• coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy.
• Perform electrical discharge machining as needed for specific projects.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles.
• Assemble components and perform quality checks on finished products.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the production process.

Skills

• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
• Experience with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge with a focus on manufacturing processes and tooling techniques.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks.
• Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of welding techniques may be beneficial for certain projects. We encourage candidates
