A Medicine Technician I uses appropriate equipment to blend oil and/or powder raw materials and operates mixing systems to produce simple oil and light paste formulations. This role supports production by preparing materials, running equipment, maintaining records, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Essential duties include preparing materials for compounding into fill material, setting up, operating, and cleaning reclaim machines and vacuum mixers, and assisting with or leading the weighing and compounding of simple materials such as oils and light pastes. The technician completes and verifies batch record entries, reports process or equipment issues promptly to a supervisor, and ensures all batch records, equipment logs, and related documentation are accurate and current. Responsibilities also include cleaning and maintaining processing rooms and equipment, monitoring processes and making adjustments to meet specifications, and maintaining inventory control using Component Control Cards and Material Requisition Forms. The technician must follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, maintain a safe work environment, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements include proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with bilingual skills considered a plus, as well as strong written and verbal communication abilities. Candidates should have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and rounding, and be comfortable using a calculator. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a professional, cooperative attitude are essential. The role also requires the ability to follow company policies and adapt to changing responsibilities while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
