Manufacturing Manager Industry: Custom Fabrication / Millwork / Metal / Wood Production
Overview
The Manufacturing/Fabrication Manager oversees day-to-day production operations across fabrication departments, ensuring workflow efficiency, quality control, and on-time delivery. This role leads production teams, coordinates scheduling, manages materials and inventory, and ensures safety and compliance standards are upheld. The ideal candidate has strong experience in custom fabrication environments—such as wood millwork, solid surface, upholstery, metal fabrication, and/or powder coating.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily production and fabrication activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop production teams (fabricators, welders, machinists, finishers, assemblers, etc.).
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or production management.
Hands-on background in one or more: metal fabrication, millwork, solid surface, welding, CNC, powder coating, assembly, and finishing.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD files.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in shop/production environments.
Solid understanding of workflow planning, job costing, and scheduling.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Pay & Benefits
Salary Range: $100,000 – $150,000+ (based on experience)
