Sanitation Worker – Food Manufacturing Industry (3rd Shift)

La Puente, CA
$20.00/hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Some Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, and restock equipment in warehouse and production areas.
Disassemble and thoroughly clean processing equipment using the COP (Clean-Out-of-Place) method.
Wash down production floors, walls, drains, and equipment using hoses and sanitation tools.
Handle and properly mix cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to safety standards.
Inspect cleaned areas and equipment to ensure proper sanitation before production restarts.
Maintain cleaning and sanitation logs as required by the company and USDA standards.
Assist in routine deep cleans, preventive maintenance cleaning, and special sanitation projects.
Follow all USDA, OSHA, FDA, and company safety and sanitation procedures.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors immediately.
Ensure proper storage of tools, chemicals, and sanitation equipment at the end of each shift.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily cleaning goals.
Minimum 1 year of sanitation or janitorial experience in a production environment.
Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Comfortable working around water, cleaning chemicals, and high-moisture environments.
Knowledge of USDA, FDA, GMP, and OSHA sanitation and safety standards (preferred).
Must complete E-Verification and pass any required background or safety checks.
Shift Schedule

3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Monday – Friday (Some Saturdays required)
