Robot Programmer / Technician / CNC Operator
Location: South Gate CA
Schedule: 5 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: DOE $20-$25
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Robot Programmer / Technician to support our foundry operations by programming, operating, and maintaining robotic automation cells. This is a dual-role position ideal for someone who enjoys combining mechanical work with programming tasks. The role involves creating fixtures, programming robots, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring optimal operation of robotic cells to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop, modify, and optimize programs for industrial robots used in foundry automation (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, or similar systems).
-Set up and operate robotic cells, including end-of-arm tooling, safety systems, and related equipment.
-Design and fabricate fixtures, jigs, and other support components as needed.
-Troubleshoot robotic systems, electrical and mechanical issues, and perform corrective maintenance.
-Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve cycle times, quality, and safety.
-Maintain accurate documentation of robot programs, setups, and system configurations.
-Train operators and maintenance staff on robotic cell operation and safety.
-Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives across the foundry.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-2+ years of experience in industrial robot programming and maintenance (foundry experience preferred).
-Stand, bend, and move for extended periods while operating or servicing equipment.
-Comfortable working in an industrial production setting.
-Ability to work in a foundry environment (heat, noise, and dust exposure).
-Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
