We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Import Agent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the import of goods, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Manage shipping logistics, including arranging transportation and monitoring shipment progress.
- Oversee customs clearance processes to prevent delays and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of all imports and ensure proper documentation is filed and stored.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to imports.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist in managing stock levels within the warehouse.
- Monitor market trends and recommend suppliers for cost-effective sourcing.
- Assist in training warehouse staff on import procedures and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an import agent or in logistics, preferably within a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in relevant software and inventory management systems.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
