WE ARE HIRING A DRIVER CLASS B with the following knowledge.
The responsibilities are:
• Collection: Driving a specialized truck on a set route to collect used cooking oil (UCO) from commercial kitchens, involves pumping the oil from storage tanks into the truck.
• Safety and regulatory compliance: Adhering to federal, state, we need another driver ASAPand company regulations related to the handling and transportation of used cooking oil, including maintaining accurate records, performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and ensuring safe transfer of UCO to prevent spills and contamination.
• Equipment maintenance: Performing daily routine maintenance on collection equipment and vehicles, such as checking fluid levels (oil, grease, fuel, etc.), tire pressure, and conducting minor repairs or reporting concerns to dispatchers or fleet managers.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate logs and documentation for regulatory compliance, such as recording the amount of UCO collected from each client and providing them with a copy of the report for their records.
• Customer service: Greeting customers, properly communicating and addressing any issues
• Other tasks: General warehouse cleaning, maintenance, inventory management, and computer-related tasks
Required skills and qualifications
• Driving skills: Valid driver's license, CLASS B and a clean driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, the ability to perform minor repairs, and experience operating equipment like pumps and hand tools
• Physical stamina: Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects, stand for long periods, and handle hoses
