DISPATCHER JOB DUTIES:
Schedule appointments for empty terminations and or import loads out when requested or missed loads.
Dispatch work to drivers according to scheduled appointments.
Make sure deliveries are on time and any issues/delays are reported to the customer.
Prioritize calls/text according to urgency and importance.
Monitor our GPS to route and know status of drivers to maximize our turnarounds.
Update computer systems in a live manner with appropriate route or delivery status as well as in/out times.
Add notes into TMS (dispatch system) for any delays, dry runs, yard stops, missed loads, missed empty in appointments or anything of that nature.
