Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Supervisor
Location: Montebello, CA

Pay Range: $20 - $35 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for managing daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is not just a delegator but a team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves, get involved in daily tasks, and lead by example. This role is crucial to maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse environment, supporting production schedules, and ensuring product quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling, loading/unloading, and documentation.
Supervise a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring proper training, performance, and safety compliance.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and quality.
Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems or manual logs.
Coordinate closely with production, sales, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure all outbound shipments meet quality and safety standards.
Monitor and manage warehouse organization, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to improve efficiency.
Report issues or discrepancies and proactively resolve shipping/receiving problems.

Requirements:
Previous supervisory experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (food or poultry industry preferred).
Strong work ethic and willingness to be hands-on in daily tasks.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
Proficient in basic computer systems and inventory management software.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Able to work in a cold environment and lift up to 50 lbs if needed.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
